Use visualization and mental rehearsal to visualize your success and prosperity. Improve your performance and achieve your goals for a succesful life as you visualize the life you want. As you work with seeing, in your mind, the positive outcomes you want the images that you have visualized become ingrained in your subconscious mind priming you for success and goal achievement. We visualise all of the time, seeing ourselves doing something before we actually do it. However, most of us use it negatively, and imagine bad things that could happen. Have you ever imagined yourself having, say a bad presentation, race or game and then had it happen! It is important to recognize that we are like guided missiles, and we move towards that which we regularly imagine with feeling - so it is important to keep these thoughts and feelings positive. How Does Visualization Work?Visualization has a measurable physiological impact on the body in the muscles. Neurologically, and at a cellular level, the mind cannot not tell the difference between a real experience and an imagined one or one you have visualized. Think about when you have had a nightmare, a real fright. Was the fear any different than reality? No. Your heart was pounding, you had clammy hands, and maybe you jerked an arm or a leg in a dream…your body responds just as though it was real. With visualisation it is possible to program in desired skills and movements, behaviors, and emotional responses prior to doing them, grooving in at a cellular level, creating a muscle memory. The great thing about visualised practice though is that you can do it perfectly every time! Forms and SymbolsThe knowledge that the power of certain forms and symbols is able to bring about profound change and effect to the mental state has been part of the Eastern spiritual lexicon for aeons. It can stimulate insight, deepen awareness, an opening of the heart and generate feelings of deep contentment. In the West some find healing through the intense study of an icon or holy image, such as a poster of a mandala, an art print of an icon or a lithograph of a holy image. Use Posters, Art Prints or Lithographs for VisualizationUse posters, art prints or lithographs to inexpensively enhance your visualization practice. Visualization Books |
